    Maths4Real ‘Pythagoras’ video (15 mins) to introduce topic.
    Complete accompanying worksheet during video.

    Decided to have a go with Qwizdom Interactive Voting system with the class, using a Level E mental test as a starter (didn’t have a level F one in Qwizdom). Class enjoyed this but did take 30 minutes!

    Gave triangle with 3 lengths and asked whether right-angled or not. All worked out to use Pythagoras to check long side against short sides, some picked wrong ‘long side’! Discussion, worked examples then completed first side of worksheet.
